Eight will compete, but only four will represent Spokane at the National Poetry Slam in Boston in August!  The Finalists are:  Chris Cook, Mark Anderson, Jazlyn Jacobs, Tim Johnson, Lauren Gilmore, Kurt Olson, Travis Naught, and Drew Coffin!

NEXT ALL-COMERS SLAM!

What:  BootSlam All Ages Performance Poetry Competition with $50 Grand Prize
When:  Sunday, June 2; sign-ups at 8:00, SLAM@8:30!
Where:  Boots Bakery and Lounge, 24 W Main
Cost:  $5 to compete; $5 suggested donation for audience
Ages:  ALL AGES*

OUR SISTER EVENTS!

What:  Broken Mic 
When:  Every Wednesday at 6:30pm
Where:  Neato Burrito, 827 W 1st
Cost:  FREE!
Ages:  ALL AGES!*

AND!

What:  3-Minute Mic (Auntie’s Open Mic) 
When:  Every First Friday at 7:00pm
Where:  Auntie’s Bookstore, 402 W Main
Cost:  FREE!
