Portland Poetry Slam: According to one Spokane poet, “Portland is where vagabonding goes to die.” I don’t know about that, but a lot of world champion poets live there. They put on a hell of a show. Seattle Poetry Slam: Seattle is where the cool Spokanites wanted to go when I was in college. It’s still pretty cool, and the poets there are pretty spectacular.
