The Rankings

The top eight poets from the 2017-2018 season will compete in Finals on April 16, 2018 to be on the four-person team representing Spokane at the National Poetry Slam.  The winner of Spokane Poetry Slam Finals will be the Spokane representative at the Individual World Poetry Slam.  If the winner identifies as a woman or gender-neutral, they have the option to represent Spokane at the Women of the World Poetry Slam OR iWPS.
Poets earn ranking points at each slam.  Third place earns 1 ranking point, second place earns 2 ranking points, and first place earns 3 ranking points.  Points are cumulative from May 2017 to April 2018.
